Pungnyeon FC participated in JAPAN Int'l FRANCHISE SHOW OSAKA 2026, held from July 2 to 3 at INTEX OSAKA in Japan, where it introduced its flagship brand, Hanok Village Bibimbap & Sotbap, together with its export products.
Hanok Village Bibimbap & Sotbap is built on Korean foodservice experience that began in Jeonju in 1976, with family recipes and operating know-how passed down to the second generation. The brand combines the heritage of Jeonju bibimbap with individually cooked gamasotbap, offering both an authentic Korean dining experience and an efficient restaurant operating system.
At the exhibition, Pungnyeon FC went beyond a simple menu presentation and highlighted its standardized cooking system and stable supply structure designed for overseas restaurant operations. Its core sauces and toppings are systematically standardized to simplify preparation and maintain consistent taste and quality across locations.
The company also introduced new topping sotbap menus, including Eonyang-style bulgogi sotbap, barbecue chicken leg sotbap, spicy charcoal-grilled chicken sotbap, and hamburger steak sotbap. Based on a pre-portioned topping system, each dish can be prepared quickly without complex additional processes, helping reduce operational burden while maintaining consistent quality.
Pungnyeon FC also unveiled newly developed shelf-stable Vegan Gochujang and Spicy Gochujang, further advancing its existing plant-based soy-protein gochujang. Vegan Gochujang was developed with a plant-based formulation to respond to global vegan and plant-based demand, while Spicy Gochujang was designed to deliver a distinctive Korean-style heat suitable for both foodservice and retail applications.
Both products can be stored at room temperature, improving convenience in storage and distribution and strengthening their competitiveness for overseas restaurant and retail channels.
At the exhibition, business consultations covered bibimbap as well as the preparation and supply structure of topping sotbap, labor efficiency, menu localization, and the local application and distribution conditions of the gochujang products.
A representative of Pungnyeon FC said, “This exhibition demonstrated that Hanok Village Bibimbap & Sotbap is not simply a brand built on tradition, but a brand equipped with an operating system that can be effectively implemented in overseas markets.”
The representative added, “By presenting the competitiveness of bibimbap and sotbap together with our pre-portioned topping system and shelf-stable gochujang products, we showcased an integrated business model that connects the restaurant brand with export-ready products.”
Pungnyeon FC plans to continue follow-up discussions with companies and buyers it met at the exhibition and pursue practical cooperation in master franchising, overseas franchising, and food product exports.
Building on its participation in the exhibition, Pungnyeon FC plans to further develop menus and operating models suited to the Japanese market and accelerate its business expansion in Japan based on 50 years of Korean foodservice expertise and a standardized operating system.
